Outside of the "industry", I think a lot of people don't know it exists. It's amazing when you tell people what you do, they're flabbergasted that it's an industry. But when you explain why you're there and the importance of our jobs and our positions within the industry, they start seeing the big picture, especially when they hear about all the events in the world, weather events, terrorist events, and they hear about companies being disrupted, and they realize they have to prepare their companies to be able to recover from those types of events.
